About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

A two-tined stainless steel fork for serving hard Italian cheeses at the table. The pointed tines pierce and lift without crumbling the cheese, making it the right tool for Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano, aged Pecorino, and similar hard varieties. Made in Italy by Eppicotispai, with a stainless steel blade and a beechwood handle.

Design and Construction

The fork is 130mm long and 25mm wide, compact enough to sit neatly on a cheese board without dominating it. The stainless steel tines are narrow and pointed for precise serving, and the beechwood handle gives a secure, comfortable grip.

  • 130mm long, 25mm wide
  • Food-grade stainless steel tines
  • Turned beechwood handle
  • Made in Italy by Eppicotispai

What It's For

Hard and semi-hard Italian cheeses are best served in irregular pieces broken or lifted from the block rather than sliced. This fork handles that job cleanly, whether you're serving at the table or putting together a cheese board. It pairs naturally with the other Eppicotispai cheese tools in the range: the Parmesan knife for breaking, the Cheddar spatula for soft cutting, and the Stilton knife for crumbling.

Why Choose This Cheese Fork

The fork follows a traditional Italian design intended specifically for hard cheese service, not a generic cheese board accessory. The beechwood handle and stainless steel construction are the same materials used across the Eppicotispai range, so it sits consistently alongside the other tools if you're building a set.

Is this fork suitable for soft cheeses?

It will work but it's not the ideal tool. The pointed tines are designed for hard cheeses that hold their shape. For soft cheeses a Cheddar spatula gives better results, and for crumbly cheeses like Stilton the Stilton spatula is the more appropriate choice. For pairing and breaking hard cheeses at the rind, the pairing knife works alongside this fork.

What cheeses is it best suited to?

Parmigiano Reggiano, Grana Padano, aged Pecorino, aged Manchego, and similar hard Italian and European cheeses. Any cheese firm enough to be pierced and lifted cleanly.

Is it dishwasher safe?

No. The beechwood handle is not dishwasher safe and should not be soaked in water. Hand wash with mild soap, rinse quickly, and dry immediately. Prolonged exposure to water will damage the wood over time.
