About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Marcato Dispenser is a compact flour shaker from Marcato's Design line, made from food-grade anodised aluminium alloy with a stainless steel mesh sieve. Fill it with flour to dust fresh pasta sheets or a work surface, icing sugar to finish biscuits and cakes, or cocoa powder to top a cappuccino. The mesh sifts evenly with fine 00 flour and coarser semolina alike. Available in a choice of colours to match other Marcato accessories. Made in Italy.

What You Can Use It For

The most common use is dusting fresh pasta sheets as they come off the machine rollers, which stops sheets from sticking together before they dry. It works equally well for:

  • Dusting baking tins or dough boards with flour
  • Finishing biscuits, cakes or pastries with icing sugar
  • Sprinkling cocoa powder or cinnamon over desserts or hot drinks
  • Topping cappuccinos or adding spices to savoury dishes

Construction and Materials

The body is anodised aluminium alloy, coloured through an oxidation process that keeps the finish food-safe and durable. The locknuts are chrome steel and the sieve mesh is stainless steel. Part of Marcato's Design line, it is built to sit on a worktop alongside a pasta machine rather than be stored in a drawer. Dimensions: 12.5cm tall, 6.5cm diameter.

  • Body: food-grade anodised aluminium alloy
  • Locknuts: chrome steel
  • Sieve mesh: stainless steel
  • Dismantles easily for cleaning

Care Instructions

  • Not dishwasher safe
  • Do not clean with metal objects
  • Dismantle and wipe with a dry cloth or small brush between uses

Why Choose the Marcato Dispenser

Most flour shakers are plastic with a loose mesh that delivers flour in clumps rather than a controlled dusting. The Marcato Dispenser is properly weighted anodised aluminium, sits securely in the hand, and the stainless steel mesh gives an even, fine distribution. If you already own a Marcato pasta machine, it pairs naturally with the same setup and the colour range matches the rest of the Marcato Design line.

How-To Video

What is the Marcato Dispenser made from?

The body is food-grade anodised aluminium alloy, coloured through an oxidation process. The locknuts are chrome steel and the sieve mesh is stainless steel. All materials are food-safe.

Can I use it with semolina or coarser flour?

Yes. The stainless steel mesh handles most grades of flour including semolina and less-refined flours, as well as fine powders like icing sugar and cocoa.

Is the Marcato Dispenser dishwasher safe?

No. The anodised aluminium finish will be damaged in the dishwasher. Dismantle and wipe with a dry cloth or small brush instead.

What size is the dispenser?

The Marcato Dispenser is 12.5cm tall and 6.5cm in diameter, compact enough to sit on the counter without taking up much space.

Does it work with the Marcato Atlas pasta machine?

It is not a mechanical attachment, but it is a natural companion to the Atlas range. Use it to dust pasta sheets with flour as they come off the rollers to prevent sticking.
