At Pasta Kitchen (Tutto Pasta), we take our legal responsibilities seriously when it comes to selling and delivering bladed or age-restricted items. In compliance with the Offensive Weapons Act 1996 and the Criminal Justice Act 1988 (as amended), we are required to verify that anyone purchasing these items is 18 years of age or over.
This ensures that all age-restricted products - such as knives and other bladed kitchen tools - are sold and delivered responsibly and safely.
To make this process simple, secure, and fully compliant, we use OneID®, a trusted, UK-certified verification service.
When you purchase an age-restricted product:
At checkout, you’ll be asked to provide your contact information and billing address to verify your age through OneID®.
If this step does not automatically confirm your age, OneID® may request additional verification — either by confirming with your mobile network operator (that you are over 18) or by asking you to log into your online banking securely.
Note: If you need to confirm your age using your mobile network operator, or online banking, this will open in a pop-up tab. If pop-ups are disabled on your browser, verification will not be possible. Different browsers may vary, and in some cases you may simply be prompted to enable pop-ups.
We never see your banking login details or personal financial data. OneID® simply confirms to us that you are over 18, and nothing more.
If your age cannot be verified during the initial OneID® check, you will be given 7 days (168 hours) from the time of your order to complete additional verification steps requested by OneID®.
During this time, your order will be placed on hold and will not be dispatched.
If age verification is not successfully completed within 168 hours of your order, the order will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded to your original payment method. No further action will be required from you to receive the refund.
Your privacy matters.
This step allows OneID® to confirm your identity using your bank’s existing security tools. Because banks already verify your personal details thoroughly when you open an account, this is one of the most accurate and trusted ways to confirm age.
No payment is taken - payment and verification are completely separate processes.
We completely understand it’s normal to be cautious when asked to log in to your bank. Please rest assured, this process is fully secure, regulated, and approved by UK authorities. You are not sharing your bank details with us or OneID®; your bank simply confirms that you are over 18.
When you verify your age, only you and your bank can see the data you choose to share. Typically, this is minimal - for example, a simple “18+ confirmed” message.
No documents or ID photos are required.
No personal or financial data (such as account balances or transactions) is shared.
You are always in control of what information is used.
Your personal data stays safe because only you can unlock it - usually through your face ID, fingerprint, or secure banking login. No one, not even OneID®, can access it without your consent.
If your age verification fails at checkout, please follow the instructions in the email sent to you directly by OneID®. This may include confirming your age via your mobile network provider or securely logging into your online banking. These steps are managed entirely by OneID® and are required to complete verification. If you cannot find this email, please check your junk or spam folder.
If age verification is not successfully completed within 168 hours of your order, the order will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded to your original payment method. No further action will be required from you to receive the refund.
Absolutely. OneID® uses advanced encryption and meets strict UK data protection and digital identity standards.
It is certified by the Age Check Certification Scheme (ACCS).
It follows government-approved security protocols.
Only you can decrypt your information using your own biometric or secure login.
You can learn more about OneID®’s privacy and data protection practices directly on their website.
We also ensure compliance at the delivery stage.
All bladed or age-restricted items are shipped using FedEx (for larger parcels) or Royal Mail (for smaller parcels) Age Verified Services.
These couriers require proof of age on delivery and will only release the parcel once the recipient’s age (18+) is confirmed.
Deliveries cannot be left with a neighbour or in a safe place.
The courier may request a valid photo ID before handing over the parcel.
This process ensures the safe, responsible, and lawful delivery of all restricted products.
