Berkel Flywheel Slicers

Berkel has been making flywheel slicers since 1898. The current Volano range covers six machines, all chain-driven, with 100Cr6 chrome steel blades, a built-in sharpener and the same hand-powered concave cutting mechanism. The differences come down to size, intended use, and how much the design of the machine matters to you.

• Volano B2: the most compact option. The least clearance below needed for the flywheel. A 265mm blade and the smallest footprint in the range makes this a great entry option.
• Volano B3: steps up to a 300mm blade, rated for intensive home or restaurant use. The best performance/value option.
• Volano P15: cast iron body, based on Berkel's 1940s Model P, with a slice thickness up to 3mm, the widest cut in the range.
• Volano Tribute: inspired by the 1920s Berkel B model, with stainless steel fittings throughout and the flower flywheel design. Designed to be robust with an iconic design.
• Volano B114: the largest standard production model with a 319mm blade and greater cutting capacity.
• Volano B114X: the same cutting spec as the B114, with a Rizoma-designed CNC-milled three-spoke flywheel, white finish, and matching stand included.
