Vermicelli (meaning "little worms" in Italian) is closely related to spaghetti but finer, sitting at 1mm in diameter compared to spaghetti's 2mm. The thinner strand suits delicate, light sauces where a heavier pasta would overpower the dish. Seafood, light tomato sauces, and simple olive oil-based preparations all work well. The Marcato attachment cuts consistent 1mm round strands from a sheet set at position 5 on the thickness dial.
Set the pasta machine thickness dial to position 5 before fitting the attachment. It works by hand with the included handle, or with the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately. It fits the Atlas 150 and Atlas+ via the standard easy-change fitting on the back of the machine.
The body is chrome-plated steel with anodised aluminium alloy rollers. The anodising process produces a food-safe surface that releases no metal residue onto the pasta. The attachment is not dishwasher safe and should be cleaned with a toothpick or small brush after use. Do not use metal objects on the rollers.

Yes. The vermicelli attachment is compatible with the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately.
Never wash the attachment with water or put it in the dishwasher. Allow any dough to dry on the rollers after use, then remove it with a toothpick or small brush. Do not use metal objects on the rollers.
Vermicelli suits light, delicate sauces. Seafood, clams, light tomato, and simple olive oil with garlic or chilli all pair well with the fine strands. Because the pasta is thinner than spaghetti, hea
Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.
The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.
We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.
*UK orders only. Shipping restrictions and import duties may apply for orders outside the UK.
