The Marcato Pastadrive is an electric pasta machine motor that clips onto the Atlas+, Atlas 150, Atlas 180 and Ampia pasta machines through a bayonet fitting in three steps, with no bracket or additional support required. It drives the rollers at a steady speed so both hands stay free to guide the dough, and a UK plug and lead are included. It is the motor supplied in the Marcato Atlasmotor+ set, so it suits anyone who already owns an Atlas machine.
Fitting and Use
Unplug the motor before fitting it to the machine or removing it. Rolling by hand takes one hand on the crank and one steadying the dough, which leaves little room to feed a sheet through smoothly, whereas with the motor fitted both hands are free. The maximum uninterrupted run time is 15 minutes.
Attachment Compatibility
The Pastadrive works with most Marcato cutting attachments, including spaghetti, linguine, vermicelli, capellini, bigoli, spaghetti alla chitarra and pappardelle. Three attachments are hand use only.
Not compatible with the Pastadrive motor: mafaldine, reginette and ravioli attachments.
The Pastadrive is also compatible with the Marga Mulino grain mill for most grains, with the exception of rice, which must be ground by hand.

Which pasta machines is the Pastadrive compatible with?
The Pastadrive is compatible with the Atlas 150, Atlas+ and Atlas 180 pasta machines, as well as the Ampia range. The pasta machine is sold separately.
Which attachments can be used with the Pastadrive?
The Pastadrive is compatible with most Marcato cutting attachments, including spaghetti, linguine, vermicelli, capellini, bigoli, spaghetti alla chitarra and pappardelle. It cannot be used with the mafaldine, reginette or ravioli attachments, which must be used by hand only.
Should I buy the Pastadrive or the Marcato Atlasmotor+?
Buy the Pastadrive if you already own an Atlas+, Atlas 150, Atlas 180 or Ampia machine, and the Atlasmotor+ if you are buying the machine as well. The Atlasmotor+ comes with a Pastadrive motor, so the motor, its attachment compatibility and its 15-minute run limit are the same either way.
Does the Pastadrive come with a UK plug?
Yes. The Pastadrive is supplied with a UK plug and lead, ready to use out of the box.
Is there a maximum run time?
Yes. The maximum uninterrupted run time is 15 minutes, so stop the motor at that point and carry on by hand if you are rolling a large batch.
Does the Pastadrive work with the Marga Mulino grain mill?

How do I clean the Pastadrive?
Never wash the Pastadrive with water or put it in the dishwasher. Clean with a toothpick or small brush after use. Do not use metal objects on any part of the motor housing.
