Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.
The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.
We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Marcato Biscotti is a handheld biscuit press from Marcato's Design line, made from food-grade anodised aluminium alloy. It comes with 20 interchangeable dies covering a range of shapes, and a two-position knob for switching between small and large biscuit sizes. One cylinder load produces 20 to 25 large biscuits or 35 to 40 small ones. No parchment paper or greasing the tray required. Available in black, red, silver, green and powder blue. Made in Italy.
Fill the cylinder with your biscuit dough, fit the die of your choice, and press directly onto the baking sheet. The dough releases cleanly onto the tray without sticking, and the die is swapped by hand in seconds. The two-position knob on the adjustment ring controls the amount of dough released per press, giving you small or large biscuits from the same load.
The body is anodised aluminium alloy, coloured through an oxidation process that releases no residue onto the dough. The anodising makes the surface food-safe and durable without any coatings that can chip or flake.
A biscuit press produces a more consistent shape and size than hand-rolling and cutting, and the Marcato Biscotti does it without requiring any tray preparation. The 20 included dies cover enough variety for everyday baking and seasonal occasions, and the compact size (210mm tall) means it stores easily. The anodised aluminium construction is more durable than plastic alternatives and will not absorb odours or stain over time.

For hand-pressed shaped biscuits and ravioli, see the round and square ravioli stamp set and the star and flower stamp set.
For dusting baking tins and finished biscuits with icing sugar, the Marcato flour and sugar dispenser pairs naturally with this machine.
A copy of the instruction manual can be downloaded from the Marcato website.
The 20 dies cover a range of shapes suited to different occasions throughout the year. For a full list of shapes, please view the images.
The press works with standard shortcrust and butter biscuit doughs. The dough needs to be firm enough to hold its shape when pressed but soft enough to extrude cleanly through the die. The instruction manual includes a basic dough recipe suited to the machine.
One full cylinder load produces 35 to 40 small biscuits on position 1, or 20 to 25 large biscuits on position 2. Refilling the cylinder is straightforward and takes a few seconds.
No. Clean with a toothpick or small brush after use. Do not use metal objects or water to clean the dies or cylinder.
