The Gemini Express is an Italian stovetop moka pot with a design first produced in the 1960s and still made in Italy by Eppicotispai. It brews directly into the cups: place one or two espresso cups on the base, set the pot on the hob, and the coffee fills the cups as it brews. No pouring, no upper chamber, no heat lost in transfer. This version is compatible with induction hobs as well as gas, ceramic and electric.
The Gemini Express works differently from a standard moka pot. Rather than collecting coffee in an upper chamber for pouring, it dispenses directly into the cups on its base. The boiler heats the water, which passes up through the coffee funnel and down into the cups below. The included reducer filter fits inside the funnel and changes the brew depending on how you use it.
This version works on induction hobs as well as gas, ceramic and electric stovetops. If your hob is not induction, the standard Gemini Express is available at a lower price.
Made from food-safe aluminium in Italy. Clean with sodium bicarbonate or vinegar in water. Do not use detergents. Discard the first few brews when using a new pot to season it before regular use.
The Gemini Express moka pot and reducer filter. Espresso cups are not included. The Gemini Express porcelain cup and saucer is available separately, or as part of the Special Edition set which includes two cups and saucers in a gift presentation box.
Most stovetop moka pots pour into a jug or directly from a spout, which means handling a hot pot over a cup. The Gemini Express keeps the cups on the base throughout, so brewing and serving happen in one step. Three brew modes give you control over strength and quantity from the same pot. Made in Italy since the 1960s, and compatible with every hob type including induction.

Yes. This version is specifically designed for induction compatibility and also works on gas, ceramic and electric hobs. If you don't need induction, the standard version is available at a lower price.
No. The pot comes with the reducer filter only. The matching porcelain cup and saucer is sold separately, or you can buy the Special Edition set which includes two cups and saucers.
The reducer filter fits inside the coffee funnel and gives you two additional brew options. With the reducer in place and the boiler filled halfway, you get one strong cup. With the reducer in place and the boiler filled fully, you get two cups of lighter coffee. Without the reducer and with the boiler filled fully, you get two standard cups.
Coarse ground coffee only. Do not use fine ground coffee or any coffee designed for filter machines or electric espresso makers.
Clean with bicarbonate of soda or vinegar in water. Do not use washing-up liquid or detergent, as this affects the flavour of subsequent brews. When using the pot for the first time, discard the first few brews before drinking. This seasons the aluminium and removes any initial taste from the new metal.
