Please note: This is the roller-only version of the Atlas 150. It does not include any cutting attachments. If you want a machine with cutters included, the Atlas+ or the Multipast+ are the better starting point. The Atlas Roller suits buyers who already own Marcato attachments, want to choose their own from the full attachments range, or do not require any attachments.
Add the free cleaning brush to your basket when purchasing the Atlas+. The brush will only be included if it is added before checkout.
The Atlas Roller produces flat pasta sheets up to 150mm wide across 10 dial settings. This makes it well suited to lasagne, filled pasta such as ravioli and tortellini, and any shape that starts with a rolled sheet rather than a pre-cut cutter attachment. The thickness range gives you control from a thick initial pass at setting 0, down to fine sheets at setting 9 for delicate filled pasta.
Marcato is the only pasta machine manufacturer to offer a 10-position adjustment knob — most competitors offer seven or fewer settings.
The Atlas Roller ships with the rolling mechanism only. There are no cutting attachments in the box. This is intentional — it gives you a lower entry point if you already own Marcato attachments, or the freedom to build your own setup by choosing exactly the shapes you want. All Marcato Plus attachments are compatible with the Atlas Roller 150, including spaghetti, linguine, pappardelle, bigoli, vermicelli, and ravioli.
The Atlas Roller uses anodised aluminium rollers throughout. The anodising process produces a surface that is food-safe, hard-wearing, and free from harmful metal residue — no nickel, no coatings that can flake. The slight texture of the anodised surface gives pasta a naturally porous finish, which helps sauces bind more effectively than pasta rolled on smooth steel.
The Atlas Roller accepts the Marcato Pastadrive motor via the patented bayonet fitting, converting it from a manual machine to a motorised one. This frees both hands during rolling and removes the need to clamp the machine to your worktop. If you want the Atlas Roller and motor together in a single motorised set, the Atlasmotor+ is the pre-bundled version.
The Atlas Roller is well established as a precision tool outside of the kitchen. Its 10-position dial and consistent roller pressure make it popular with cake decorators for rolling sugar paste and fondant to an even thickness, and it is widely used by polymer clay artists for conditioning and blending clay. The anodised aluminium rollers do not leave dark streaks on light or translucent materials — an important consideration for both craft and confectionery use.
If using the machine for craft or confectionery, keep it separate from your pasta-making machine to avoid cross-contamination.
The Atlas Roller should never be washed with water or placed in a dishwasher. After each use, allow any dough to dry on the rollers, then remove it with a dry brush or toothpick. The removable resin combs can be taken out for more thorough cleaning.

The Atlas Roller makes sense if you already own Marcato cutting attachments from a previous machine, or if you want to select your own shapes from the attachments range rather than receive a fixed set. It is also the right choice if you primarily make filled pasta — ravioli, tortellini, lasagne — where you need sheets rather than cut ribbons. If you are starting from scratch and want a complete setup, the Multipast+ or Atlas+ are likely the better starting point.
Yes, it is advised to clamp the machine to your worktop before use. As this is a manual machine, you will be turning the handle by hand, and securing the machine gives you better control and stability throughout. A table clamp is included in the box.
All Marcato Plus attachments designed for the 150mm range are compatible, including spaghetti, linguine, pappardelle, bigoli, vermicelli, mafaldine, reginette, and ravioli. Browse the full Marcato attachments range to see what's available.
Yes — the Atlas Roller is well established for both uses. The anodised aluminium rollers do not leave dark marks on light materials, and the 10-position dial gives the precise thickness control needed for consistent results. If using the machine for craft or confectionery, we recommend keeping a dedicated machine for that purpose, separate from the one used for food.
Yes. The Atlas Roller has a bayonet fitting that accepts the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately. Adding the motor means both hands are free during rolling and the machine no longer needs to be clamped. Alternatively, the Atlasmotor+ is the pre-bundled motorised set if you want machine and motor together from the outset.
