The Marcato Atlas Roller 150 is a 150mm manual pasta sheet roller with a 10-position thickness dial, rolling sheets from 4.8mm down to 0.6mm. No cutters included; rolling only. Compatible with all Marcato Plus attachments, sold separately. Made in Italy.

Please note: This is the roller-only version of the Atlas 150. It does not include any cutting attachments. If you want a machine with cutters included, the Atlas+ or the Multipast+ are the better starting point. The Atlas Roller suits buyers who already own Marcato attachments, want to choose their own from the full attachments range, or primarily make filled and sheet pasta where cutters aren't needed.

Pasta Sheets at 10 Thicknesses

The Atlas Roller produces flat pasta sheets up to 150mm wide across 10 dial settings, from a 4.8mm starting pass down to 0.6mm for fine filled pasta. That range makes it well suited to lasagne, ravioli, tortellini, and any shape that starts with a rolled sheet. Marcato is the only pasta machine manufacturer to offer a 10-position adjustment knob; most competitors offer seven settings or fewer.

  • Setting 0: 4.8mm, for initial passes and thicker doughs
  • Settings 1–5: mid-range, suitable for lasagne sheets and general use
  • Settings 6–8: thinner sheets for pappardelle, fettuccine, and wider ribbons
  • Setting 9: 0.6mm, fine sheets for ravioli, tortellini, and delicate filled pasta

No Cutters: Choose Your Own Attachments

The Atlas Roller ships with the rolling mechanism only, which keeps the entry price lower if you already own Marcato attachments or want to choose your own shapes rather than receive a fixed set. All Marcato Plus attachments are compatible with the Atlas Roller 150, including spaghetti, linguine, pappardelle, bigoli, vermicelli, and ravioli. Attachments slide on and off via the easy-change fitting on the back of the machine, and all attachment rollers use the same anodised aluminium alloy as the main unit.

Anodised Aluminium Rollers

The rollers are anodised aluminium throughout. The anodising process produces a hard, food-safe surface with no nickel content and no coatings that can flake or leave residue. The slight texture of the anodised finish also gives pasta a naturally porous surface, which helps sauces adhere more effectively than pasta rolled on smooth steel. The removable polymeric resin combs and scrapers lift out for cleaning, and the body is chrome-plated steel.

Compatible With the Pastadrive Motor

The Atlas Roller accepts the Marcato Pastadrive motor via the patented bayonet fitting, converting it to a motorised machine. Both hands are free during rolling and the clamp is no longer required. If you want machine and motor together from the outset, the Atlasmotor+ is the pre-bundled version.

Beyond Pasta: Confectionery and Craft Use

The Atlas Roller is a well-known tool among cake decorators and polymer clay artists. For confectionery, the 10-position dial gives the precise, repeatable thickness needed when rolling sugar paste and fondant. For clay work, the consistent roller pressure and clean anodised surface make it effective for conditioning, blending, and creating veneers; the aluminium leaves no dark marks on light or translucent materials. If you use the machine for craft or confectionery, keep it separate from the one used for food.

FAQs

Why would I buy the Atlas Roller instead of the Atlas+ or Multipast+?
The Atlas Roller makes sense if you already own Marcato cutting attachments from a previous machine, or want to choose your own shapes from the attachments range rather than receive a fixed set. It is also the right choice if you primarily make filled or sheet pasta (ravioli, tortellini, lasagne) where you need sheets rather than cut ribbons. If you are starting from scratch and want a complete setup, the Multipast+ or Atlas+ are the better starting point.
Do I need to clamp the machine to the worktop?
Yes. As this is a manual machine, clamping it to the worktop gives you better control and stability while turning the handle. A table clamp is included in the box.
Which Marcato attachments are compatible with the Atlas Roller 150?
All Marcato Plus attachments designed for the 150mm range are compatible, including spaghetti, linguine, pappardelle, bigoli, vermicelli, mafaldine, reginette, and ravioli. Browse the full Marcato attachments range to see what's available.
Can I use the Atlas Roller for polymer clay or sugar paste?
Yes. The anodised aluminium rollers leave no dark marks on light materials, and the 10-position dial gives precise thickness control for consistent results. If using the machine for craft or confectionery, keep a dedicated machine for that purpose, separate from the one used for food.
Can I add the Pastadrive motor later?
Yes. The Atlas Roller has a bayonet fitting that accepts the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately. Adding the motor frees both hands during rolling and removes the need to clamp the machine. Alternatively, the Atlasmotor+ is the pre-bundled motorised set.
