The Eppicotispai 4-side conical box grater is 24 cm tall with a tapered body, wider at the base than the top. That shape keeps it stable on the worktop when you're pressing down hard on a block of Parmesan, and the larger grating surface handles bigger volumes without needing to stop and clear the board as often. All stainless steel. Made in Italy.
Each of the four sides serves a distinct purpose. The coarse side handles hard cheeses and root vegetables quickly; the medium side suits semi-soft cheeses and carrots; the fine side works for Parmesan, nutmeg and citrus zest; the slicer gives thin, consistent cuts for cucumber, courgette or fennel. At 24 cm, each surface has enough area to work efficiently without the grater shifting or tipping.
The tapered, conical body is wider at the base than a straight-sided box grater, which lowers the centre of gravity and keeps it planted on the board. The closed base means grated food collects inside as you work, so there's no need to hold a bowl underneath or stop to transfer between passes.
The grater is all stainless steel with no plastic components and no rubber base. There's nothing to crack, perish or work loose over time. The grating surfaces are sharp out of the box and hold up with regular use and dishwasher cleaning.
Eppicotispai manufacture kitchenware near Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. Their tools are built from stainless steel without shortcuts in construction. This grater is a straightforward example of that: no mixed materials, no components that wear out before the tool does.
The 24 cm conical format is the right choice if you cook for more than two people regularly, work with large blocks of hard cheese, or simply want more grating surface and better stability than a standard box grater gives you. The all-stainless build means nothing degrades with use.

The 24 cm conical grater is taller, giving more grating surface and better leverage for larger quantities. The tapered body also provides more stability than the straight-sided 18 cm version, and the closed base means food collects inside rather than on the board below. If you cook for larger numbers or work through significant quantities of hard cheese, the 24 cm is the more practical choice.
The 24 cm is the total height of the grater body. At this height, each grating surface is large enough to handle a full block of Parmesan or a significant quantity of root vegetables without needing to stop and clear frequently.
Yes. The all-stainless construction means there are no plastic or rubber parts to warp or degrade. Rinsing promptly after use, particularly after grating cheese, makes cleaning easier regardless of whether you use the dishwasher.
The coarse surface handles hard cheeses, raw beetroot and root vegetables well. The medium surface suits semi-soft cheeses, carrots and courgettes. The fine surface is the right choice for Parmesan grated over pasta, nutmeg and citrus zest. The slicer side produces thin, even cuts and works well for cucumber, fennel and firm courgette.
Yes, the fine or medium surface works for grating chocolate. Chilling the chocolate first makes it easier to handle and gives cleaner, less sticky results.
