About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Cerutti Inox pizza oven brush - brass bristles, anodised aluminium handle with integrated scraper, 150cm handle length, made in Italy. Available in 18cm and 22.5cm brush head widths to suit different oven openings.

A pizza oven brush is one of the most-used tools in any pizza kitchen. Before every bake, the oven floor needs to be swept clear of ash, flour residue and burnt debris. Burnt flour transfers bitterness to the pizza base, and debris left between bakes affects both flavour and temperature consistency. This Cerutti Inox brush is built for that job, used in professional pizzerias across Europe and equally at home with Ooni, Gozney, and wood-fired garden ovens.

Brass Bristles

Brass is the standard bristle material for pizza oven brushes used at high temperatures. The bristles are stiff enough to dislodge debris and compacted flour from the oven floor, but softer than steel, which means they will not scratch or damage a pizza stone or refractory oven base. The wooden brush head is attached to the anodised aluminium handle with a secure fitting designed for repeated use at oven temperatures.

  • Stiff enough for effective cleaning, soft enough not to scratch oven surfaces
  • Suitable for pizza stone, refractory brick, and tiled oven floors
  • Wooden brush head with brass bristles, the standard professional specification
  • Replacement brush heads available separately — see our replacement brush heads

The Scraper

The integrated metal scraper is fitted to the handle just above the brush head. It is used to loosen stubborn residue (compacted dough, carbonised cheese, or hardened flour) before brushing it clear. Using the scraper first, then following with the brush, gives a more thorough clean than brushing alone and is standard practice in professional kitchens.

  • Integrated scraper on the handle, no separate tool needed
  • Use scraper first to loosen stuck residue, then brush clear
  • Particularly useful with high-hydration doughs that can leave sticky deposits on the oven floor

Anodised Aluminium Handle

The 150cm handle keeps hands well away from the oven opening during cleaning, which is important when working with high-temperature ovens that retain heat even after the fire dies down. Anodised aluminium is lightweight and resistant to corrosion, a better long-term choice than untreated aluminium or painted handles that degrade with repeated heat exposure.

  • Handle length: 150cm, suitable for most home and professional wood-fired ovens
  • Anodised aluminium, lightweight and corrosion resistant
  • Red anodised finish, matching the Cerutti Inox Tulip peel range
  • Hanging hook fitted to the handle end for storage

Choosing Your Brush Head Size

The brush head width should suit the width of your oven opening and the size of oven floor you are cleaning.

  • 18cm brush head: suitable for most home pizza ovens including Ooni and Gozney models, and any oven with a standard opening
  • 22.5cm brush head: better for larger oven openings and bigger oven floors, more common in full-size wood-fired ovens and professional settings

If you are unsure, the 18cm is the right starting point for most home pizza makers.

Made in Italy.

How often should I clean my pizza oven?

The oven floor should be swept before every bake. Burnt flour and ash transfer bitterness to the pizza base and create uneven hot spots that affect how the pizza cooks. A quick sweep between each pizza during a session is also good practice, particularly when cooking multiple pizzas back to back.

Can I use this brush on a pizza stone?

Yes. Brass bristles are soft enough not to scratch or damage a pizza stone surface, which is why brass is the standard choice for oven brushes rather than steel. Clean after the stone has been used and is still warm enough to have burnt off most residue, but has cooled enough to handle safely.

What is the scraper used for?

The scraper is used to loosen stuck-on residue before brushing. Run it across the oven floor first to break up compacted dough, carbonised toppings, or hardened flour, then follow with the brush to sweep everything clear. It makes a noticeable difference to the quality of the clean compared to brushing alone.

Is 150cm long enough for my oven?

150cm suits most home pizza ovens and the majority of full-size wood-fired garden ovens. If you have a particularly deep oven or a commercial deck oven, you may need a longer handle. Contact us and we can advise on options.

Are replacement brush heads available?

Yes. Replacement brass bristle brush heads are available separately, so you do not need to replace the full brush and handle when the bristles wear. Order a replacement brush head directly from our site.
