About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

A pizza oven brush for clearing ash, loose flour and burnt debris off the oven floor between bakes, with an integrated scraper for residue the bristles alone will not lift. Brass bristles on a red anodised aluminium handle, 150cm long, with an 18cm or 22.5cm wooden head. Made in Italy.

What This Brush Offers

  • Brass bristles: clear compacted flour and ash without scratching a pizza stone, refractory brick or tiled oven floor
  • Integrated scraper, fitted above the brush head, for loosening compacted dough, burnt cheese or hardened flour before brushing it clear
  • Anodised aluminium handle: lightweight, corrosion resistant, and finished in the same red as the Tulip peel range
  • 150cm handle, keeping hands well clear of a hot oven opening
  • Hanging hook fitted to the handle end

Brush Head Width

  • 18cm suits most home pizza ovens, including Ooni and Gozney models
  • 22.5cm suits larger oven floors, more common in full-size wood-fired and professional ovens

How often should I clean my pizza oven?
The oven floor should be swept before every bake. Burnt flour and ash transfer bitterness to the pizza base and create uneven hot spots that affect how the pizza cooks. A quick sweep between each pizza during a session is also good practice, particularly when cooking multiple pizzas back to back.
Can I use this brush on a pizza stone?
Yes. Brass bristles are soft enough not to scratch or damage a pizza stone surface, which is why brass is the standard choice for oven brushes rather than steel. Clean after the stone has been used and is still warm enough to have burnt off most residue, but has cooled enough to handle safely.
What is the scraper used for?
The scraper is used to loosen stuck-on residue before brushing. Run it across the oven floor first to break up compacted dough, carbonised toppings, or hardened flour, then follow with the brush to sweep everything clear. It makes a noticeable difference to the quality of the clean compared to brushing alone.
Is 150cm long enough for my oven?
150cm suits most home pizza ovens and the majority of full-size wood-fired garden ovens. If you have a particularly deep oven or a commercial deck oven, you may need a longer handle. Contact us and we can advise on options.
Are replacement brush heads available?
Yes. Replacement brass bristle brush heads are available separately, so the full brush and handle do not need replacing when the bristles wear. They are listed on our site as a standalone item.
What is the difference between this brush and the plain-handle version?
The handle and an extra tool. This brush has a red anodised handle with an integrated scraper fitted above the bristles, for loosening compacted dough or burnt cheese before sweeping it clear. The plain-handle Cerutti Inox brush uses the same brass bristle head without the scraper or the anodised finish.
