An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

This silicone stopper uses a patented interior shape that works with silicone's own grip to pull a vacuum inside the bottleneck, which is what keeps a bottle of fizz sealed rather than just capped. Push it onto an open bottle to seal it, and pull it free when you're ready to pour again. It's sold as a single stopper by Pulltex, in your choice of purple, green, black or maroon.

How the Seal Works

  • A loose-fitting stopper or a cork pushed back in only closes off the top of the bottle, so carbon dioxide still finds its way out around the sides over a day or two.
  • This stopper's shape draws air out of the neck as it's pushed in, forming a vacuum that holds the seal shut on its own rather than relying on a tight push fit.
  • The bottle stays sealed however it's stored afterwards: upright, on its side, or rolling around in the fridge door.

What It's Not For

  • Not confirmed to seal every still wine bottle equally well, since neck shapes vary more across still wine than sparkling. It's designed for a standard champagne or sparkling wine bottle neck.
  • Slows the loss of fizz over a few days, it doesn't restore carbonation a bottle has already lost.

How long will it keep a bottle fizzy?
It's designed to slow the loss of carbonation for a few days after opening, rather than an exact number of hours, which depends on how much fizz the bottle had left when you sealed it.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. Wash it by hand.
Can I store the bottle on its side once it's sealed?
Yes. The vacuum seal holds regardless of how the bottle is stored, upright, on its side, or rolling around in the fridge door.

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Food/perishables, gift cards, free gifts/promotional items, and hazardous/flammable goods.

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear
