Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.
The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.
We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Tacapasta is a collapsible pasta drying rack made in Italy by Marcato, with 16 fan-out polycarbonate arms that hold up to 2kg of freshly cut pasta. A built-in wand stores in the central column and lifts out for transferring pasta directly from your machine to the rack. Designed as the natural companion to the Atlas range, it folds to a slim column for storage in seconds. Available in clear, red, black and blue.
The arms radiate outward in a staircase arrangement, giving each portion of pasta its own space with air circulating freely between them. Longer strands drape naturally over the upper arms without bunching at the base, making it well suited to spaghetti, tagliatelle, fettuccine, linguine, pappardelle and similar long shapes.
A slim rod sits inside the central column and lifts out for use as a transfer wand. It lets you gather freshly cut strands directly from your pasta machine cutter and carry them to the rack without tangling or breaking. It slots back into the column when not in use.
The arms close into a slim column in a few seconds and the rack is stable when open. No parts to lose, no assembly required.
The central column and base are chrome-plated steel. The 16 arms are food-safe polycarbonate. Wipe clean with a dry cloth or soft brush after use.
The Tacapasta is the drying rack Marcato designed to sit alongside their pasta machines, and the integrated wand reflects that. Transferring freshly cut pasta by hand without breaking or tangling long strands is genuinely fiddly; the wand removes that step. If you own a Marcato Atlas machine, this is the most practical drying rack to pair with it.
The Tacapasta pairs with all Marcato pasta machines and Marcato accessories. See all options in the pasta drying rack collection.
Yes. The Tacapasta works with all Atlas pasta machines including the Atlas+ range. The integrated wand is particularly useful when cutting pasta directly from the machine cutter.
The 16 arms hold up to 2kg of freshly cut pasta. For a typical home cooking session, most fresh pasta recipes for two to four people produce well under 500g of cut pasta, so capacity is unlikely to be a limiting factor.
Wipe down the arms with a dry cloth or soft brush after use. Dried pasta brushes off easily once it has set. Avoid soaking in water or putting the rack in the dishwasher, as this can affect the steel column over time.
Clear, red, black and blue. All versions share the same specifications and are made in Italy to the same standard.
The Tacapasta is designed for long pasta shapes that drape over the arms: spaghetti, tagliatelle, fettuccine, linguine, pappardelle and similar. Short shapes like rigatoni or farfalle are better dried flat on a tray.
