This Marcato spaghetti attachment turns your Atlas 150 or Atlas+ into a spaghetti pasta maker, cutting 2mm round strands from a rolled pasta sheet. The 2mm round strand suits everything from aglio e olio to tomato, meat ragù and seafood. If you want the same 2mm diameter with a square cross-section, the spaghetti alla chitarra attachment cuts that. It is turned by hand with the machine's handle or by the Pastadrive motor, sold separately. Made in Italy.
Pasta Machine Setting for Spaghetti
Set the thickness dial to position 4 before fitting the attachment to the easy-change fitting on the back of the machine. It fits the Atlas 150 (Design and Classic), the Atlas+, the Atlas Roller 150, the Atlas Slide 150, Multipast and Pastaset, but not the Atlas 180.

The spaghetti attachment fits the Marcato Atlas 150 (Design and Classic), Atlas+, Atlas Roller 150, Atlas Slide 150, Multipast and Pastaset via the standard easy-change fitting on the back of the machine. It does not fit the Atlas 180. It is also compatible with the Marcato Pastadrive motor, sold separately.
What thickness setting should I use?
Set the adjustment knob to position 4. This gives the sheet the right thickness to cut clean 2mm round strands.

The square shape also holds thicker, chunkier sauces a little better. If you are making classic spaghetti dishes like carbonara, cacio e pepe, or bolognese, the round strand is the traditional choice. If you want a more rustic, central Italian style of pasta, the spaghetti alla chitarra attachment is worth considering.
How do I clean the attachment?
Never wash the attachment with water or put it in the dishwasher. Allow any dough to dry on the rollers after use, then remove it with a toothpick or small brush. Do not use metal objects on the rollers.
What sauces work best with spaghetti?
Spaghetti is one of the most versatile pasta shapes. Carbonara, cacio e pepe, aglio e olio, bolognese, and simple tomato sauces are all well-suited pairings. Seafood sauces work well too. The round strand picks up smooth and lightly textured sauces particularly cleanly.
