Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.
The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.
We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Marcato Biscottini Star and Flower Stamp Gift Set contains two shaped stamps: a 65mm star and a 70mm flower, each with a pear wood handle and die-cast aluminium cutter. Pressed into a filled pasta sheet, the stamps cut and crimp the edges in a single motion, producing individual shaped ravioli with a clean, even seal. They also work for cutting cookies and pastry rounds. Made in Italy.
Both stamps share the same construction and handle material. The die-cast aluminium cutter crimps and cuts simultaneously, so no separate sealing step is needed. The pear wood handle gives a firm, comfortable grip during pressing.
Roll your pasta sheet to approximately 1.5mm thickness (position 6 on an Atlas or Atlas+ dial). Add a small amount of filling to one sheet, lay a second sheet on top, then press the stamp down firmly over each portion of filling. The cutter crimps the edge and cuts the ravioli in a single press. Flour the sheets lightly before stamping to prevent sticking.
The star and flower shapes produce a more decorative ravioli than a standard square or round cutter, which makes them well suited to filled pasta served as a starter or at a dinner where presentation matters. They work equally well as cookie cutters for shortcrust and sweet pastry doughs. The pear wood handles are more durable than plastic alternatives, and both stamps are made to the same standard as the rest of the Marcato range.

The star stamp is 65mm and the flower stamp is 70mm, producing shaped ravioli of approximately those dimensions across their widest point.
Aim for approximately 1.5mm, which corresponds to position 6 on an Atlas or Atlas+ thickness dial. If you are using a rolling pin, the sheet should be thin enough to be slightly translucent when held up to light.
Yes. The star and flower shapes work well for cutting cookies and pastry rounds from rolled dough. The crimped edge adds a decorative finish to shortcrust and sweet pastry as well as pasta.
Yes. Roll your dough by hand with a rolling pin to the correct thickness and the stamps work in exactly the same way. A pasta machine makes it easier to achieve a consistent thickness, but it is not required.
The shapes and sizes are different: this set contains a 65mm star and a 70mm flower, while the round and square set contains two 58mm stamps. The construction, materials and method of use are the same across both sets.
