About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

Genuine Marcato replacement handle for the Atlas and Ampia pasta machine ranges. The handle is chrome-plated steel with a black ABS plastic grip. Two variants are available depending on when your machine was manufactured, so check your machine's production date before ordering.

Which Variant Do You Need

Marcato updated the handle design in December 2022. The new handle is slimmer and longer; the old handle is wider and shorter. The pictures on this listing show both variants side by side for reference.

  • Old handle: for machines manufactured in December 2022 or earlier

The new handle can be used on older machines if needed, but the old handle will not fit newer machines. If you are unsure which variant suits your machine, get in touch before ordering.

Will this handle fit my Marcato machine?
The handle fits Atlas and Ampia pasta machines. There are two variants depending on manufacture date: the new handle suits machines made after December 2022, and the old handle suits machines made in December 2022 or earlier. Check the pictures on this listing to identify which you need, or contact us if you are unsure.
Can I use the new handle on an older machine?
Yes, the new handle will work on older machines. The old handle will not fit newer machines, so if you are in any doubt about your machine's age, the new variant is the safer choice.
Where do I find my machine's manufacturing date?
The manufacturing date is stamped on the underside of the machine. If you cannot locate it, get in touch and we can help you identify the correct variant.

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Eligibility

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Food/perishables, gift cards, free gifts/promotional items, and hazardous/flammable goods.

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear

Marcato products come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects when the product is used correctly and in line with Marcato’s instructions.

Making a Claim

Contact us with your order number, a photo or video of the fault, and the product’s production date. We’ll liaise with Marcato on your behalf, who may resolve it with guidance, a replacement part, or a full replacement depending on the issue.

What Isn’t Covered

Damage from improper use, non-approved accessories, tampering, or normal wear and tear.

Out-of-warranty spare parts are available from Marcato at a charge, where stocked.
