Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.
The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.
We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

*UK orders only. Shipping restrictions and import duties may apply for orders outside the UK.
A natural beechwood flour scoop from Eppicotispai, available in six sizes from 7cm to 24cm. Turned from solid beechwood, these scoops are a practical tool for measuring and transferring flour, sugar, and other dry ingredients. The wood is left uncoated, giving it a clean, food-safe finish that improves with use.
Beechwood is a dense, close-grained hardwood that has been used in professional kitchens for centuries. It's hard-wearing, resistant to warping, and takes on a smooth patina over time. Eppicotispai have been making Italian kitchen tools from beechwood for decades, and the quality of the grain and finish shows it.
The range covers everything from a small 7cm scoop for spices and coffee through to a generous 24cm scoop for transferring larger quantities of flour or semolina. The right size depends on your most common use. A 10cm or 14cm scoop suits most pasta and pizza dough work, while the larger sizes are useful for flour storage jars and bulk transfers.
Plastic scoops crack and metal ones scratch. A solid beechwood scoop does neither, and it looks considerably better sitting in a flour jar. Eppicotispai have been producing traditional Italian kitchen tools since 1946, and their beechwood pieces are built to last rather than to be replaced. Select your size from the dropdown above.

For most pasta and pizza flour work, the 10cm or 14cm scoop is the most practical choice. The smaller 7cm suits spices and coffee, while the 20cm and 24cm are best for transferring larger quantities from storage bags into jars or bowls.
Yes. Natural beechwood is a food-safe material and has been used in kitchen tools for centuries. These scoops are uncoated, so there are no varnishes or lacquers to worry about. As with all wooden kitchen tools, hand washing and occasional oiling will keep them in good condition.
Hand wash only, do not put in the dishwasher. Dry immediately after washing and store in a dry place. Occasional treatment with food-safe mineral oil or beeswax will help maintain the wood and prevent it drying out.
