About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

This Pulltex tool does two jobs on one bottle: it takes out a champagne, prosecco or cava cork safely and without a fight, then doubles as a stopper to reseal the bottle once you've poured. It's a small, inexpensive piece of kit worth keeping in a drawer for anyone who opens sparkling wine more than once in a while.

Opening Sparkling Wine Safely

Sparkling wine corks are under enough pressure to be genuinely dangerous if they come out at the wrong angle, and this tool is built to extract the cork under control rather than letting it fly. That takes the guesswork out of opening a bottle that's been shaken or hasn't had time to settle after transport.

Doubling as a Stopper

Once the bottle's open, the same tool reseals it, so you're not hunting for a separate stopper if you don't finish the bottle in one sitting.

Does this work on prosecco and cava as well as champagne?
Yes, it's designed for champagne, prosecco and cava corks.
Can I use it to reseal the bottle afterwards?
Yes, the same tool doubles as a stopper once the cork's out.
Is it safe to use on a bottle that's been shaken?
It's built to extract the cork under control rather than letting it fly, which is exactly the situation where a bottle that's been shaken or knocked about becomes risky to open by hand.
How long will it keep a resealed bottle fizzy?
As a stopper it keeps the bottle closed, but if you specifically want to hold carbonation for longer, the Pulltex Soda Saver and Air Injector is built for that job.

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Eligibility

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Non-returnable (unless faulty)

Food/perishables, gift cards, free gifts/promotional items, and hazardous/flammable goods.

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear
