About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

A set of three slim birchwood serving boards made in Italy, each measuring 43cm x 13.8cm x 1.9cm, suited to serving cheese, antipasti, bruschetta, charcuterie and Italian small plates.

Long and narrow in shape, these boards are designed for individual portions rather than a centrepiece spread. Each person gets their own board, which works well for antipasti starters, cheese courses, or bruschetta served alongside a pasta meal. The natural birchwood is smooth and lightweight, and the slim profile means they store flat without taking up much space.

Made from natural birchwood with a smooth finish that won't snag or scratch. Lightweight enough to carry one-handed, sturdy enough to hold a proper cheese portion without flexing. The natural grain varies slightly between boards, so each set is a little different.

Can these boards be used as cheese boards?
Yes — the size and shape work well for a single-person cheese course or a small antipasti selection. For a larger centrepiece cheese board, you'd want something wider, but for individual servings these are a good fit.
How do I clean and care for the boards?
Handwash with mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly before storing and don't leave them submerged or put them in the dishwasher. An occasional light oiling with food-safe oil will keep the wood in good condition.
Are these boards suitable for hot food?
They're designed for serving rather than cooking. Use them for room temperature or cold food — not directly from the oven or hob.
Can I use these as pizza serving boards?
The shape suits personal-sized pizzas or flatbreads served as a starter. For a full pizza, they're too narrow — take a look at our wooden pizza peels, which double well as serving boards.

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Eligibility

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Non-returnable (unless faulty)

Food/perishables, gift cards, free gifts/promotional items, and hazardous/flammable goods.

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear
