About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

Hawthorne Strainer

A coil-spring Hawthorne strainer for straining cocktails from a shaker or mixing glass into the serving glass. The spring coil sits against the rim of the shaker and filters out ice and fruit pulp cleanly.

Is this set suitable as a gift?
Yes. All five pieces are stainless steel with a matching finish and the set comes packaged together in a single box, making it a clean gift option for someone who makes cocktails at home or wants to start.
Does the set include a cocktail shaker?
No. The Hawthorne strainer is designed to be used with a shaker or mixing glass, but neither is included. The set focuses on the five tools used across gin and tonic and spritz-style drinks.
What cocktails are covered in the recipe booklet?
The booklet covers gin and tonic and spritz-style recipes. The exact recipes vary by edition, but the tools in the set are suited to any long cocktail built in a highball glass.
Is the set dishwasher safe?
All five pieces are stainless steel. We'd recommend checking the Pulltex packaging for specific care guidance, but stainless bar tools of this type are generally hand-wash safe at minimum.
What size jigger measurements does the set include?
The jigger is double-sided with two different volume measures. We'd recommend checking the packaging for the exact ml markings, as these can vary by edition of the set.

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Eligibility

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear
