This tray dries pasta, herbs and vegetables flat instead of hanging them, which is the only way to dry short pasta shapes, gnocchi and lasagne sheets that can't be draped over a rod. The food-grade mesh base lets air reach the underside as well as the top, so nothing sits on a damp surface while it dries. Four legs raise each tray 9.5cm, and a second tray stacks straight on top when you need more room. It's made in Italy from natural beechwood, each tray measuring 51 x 40cm.

Drying Flat vs Hanging

A hanging rack works for long strands like spaghetti or tagliatelle, which drape over a rod without touching each other. Short shapes, gnocchi and flat sheets of lasagne can't be hung that way, and a solid tray underneath them traps moisture and dries unevenly. The wide-holed mesh here solves that: air moves freely above and below whatever's on it, so pasta, herb sprigs and sliced mushrooms or tomatoes all dry evenly instead of going soft on the side touching the base.

Stacking for More Capacity

Each tray stands on four legs, and a second tray sits directly on top of those legs rather than needing a separate stand. There's no fixed limit to how high you can stack, though two or three trays is the practical ceiling in most kitchens before airflow between levels starts to suffer. The price is per tray, so you can start with one and add more as you need them.

Who It's For

Good if you make pasta regularly and want one tool that also handles herbs, mushrooms, tomatoes or other produce you're air-drying, rather than a rack that only earns its keep at pasta night. If you're only ever drying long strands, a hanging pasta drying rack takes up less counter space and needs no stacking.

FAQs

Can I use this tray to dry gnocchi or short pasta shapes?
Yes – the flat mesh base is well suited to short pasta shapes and gnocchi that can't be hung on a rack. Lay them in a single layer on the mesh and leave in a well-ventilated spot. The wide holes ensure even pieces get airflow underneath.
How many trays can I stack at once?
There's no fixed maximum – each tray's four legs support the one above. Most people use two or three stacked trays. Make sure the stack is on a stable, level surface with enough space around it for air to circulate freely.
Is this suitable for drying herbs?
Yes. Place sprigs or flower heads in a single layer on the mesh and leave in a dry, well-ventilated spot away from direct sunlight. The stackable design lets you dry several herb varieties at once without any of them touching.
How do I clean the tray?
Handwash with mild detergent and warm water. Dry the tray thoroughly – particularly the mesh – before storing. Do not put in the dishwasher or leave submerged in water, as prolonged moisture will affect the wood.
Can I use this as a baking cooling rack?
No – the tray is made for food drying at room temperature and is not intended for hot items straight from the oven. Using it as a baking cooling rack could damage the wood and mesh over time.
