About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

Free cleaning brush included (add before checkout)

Add the free cleaning brush to your basket when purchasing the Pasta Fresca. The brush will only be included if it is added before checkout.

The Pasta Fresca combines an electric dough mixer and a pasta machine in a single unit. You add flour and your other ingredients, close the lid, and the 170W motor kneads the dough to a consistent, elastic texture in three minutes. Once kneaded, the dough feeds directly into the rolling and cutting unit, which handles lasagne sheets, fettuccine and tagliolini using the same anodised aluminium roller technology as Marcato's manual machines. The whole process from ingredients to cut pasta requires no hand-kneading and no separate equipment. It is the most self-contained fresh pasta setup Marcato makes.

The Mixer

The motor handles up to 500g of flour per cycle, kneading it to hand-kneaded quality in three minutes. The locking safety lid stays closed during operation. Beyond pasta, the machine handles bread dough, pizza dough, shortcrust pastry, doughnut dough and sweet biscuit doughs, making it useful as a general-purpose compact mixer. A measuring tool for flour and ingredients is included.

  • 170W motor, handles up to 500g of flour per cycle
  • 3-minute knead time to elastic, consistent dough
  • Locking safety lid
  • Suitable for pasta, bread, pizza, doughnuts and biscuit doughs

The Pasta Attachments

Three cutting attachments are included. The rolling unit has a 10-position thickness dial running from 4.8mm down to 0.6mm, the same range as the manual Atlas machines. Attachments clip on and off via the same fitting. Additional Pasta Fresca-compatible attachments are available separately for more shapes, including spaghetti, capellini, bigoli, pappardelle, lasagnette and trenette.

  • Lasagne sheets, 150mm wide
  • Fettuccine, 6.5mm ribbon
  • Tagliolini, 1.5mm fine ribbon
  • 10 thickness settings from 4.8mm down to 0.6mm

Construction and Materials

The body is food-grade ABS and polycarbonate. The rollers and cutting attachments are anodised aluminium alloy, the same food-safe, non-flaking material used across the Atlas range. Combs and scrapers are polymeric resin and lift out for cleaning. The machine does not go in the dishwasher; leave pasta residue to dry fully then clean with a brush or toothpick. Fitted with a UK plug.

  • Body: food-grade ABS and polycarbonate
  • Rollers and attachments: anodised aluminium alloy
  • Combs and scrapers: polymeric resin, removable
  • Dimensions: 310 x 155 x 210mm, weight 7kg
  • UK plug fitted

Why Choose the Pasta Fresca

Every other Marcato machine assumes you are bringing ready-made dough to it. The Pasta Fresca handles the kneading as well, which removes the most physically demanding part of fresh pasta from the process. If you make pasta regularly, knead by hand, and find it tiring or time-consuming, this is the machine that solves that problem. It is also the right choice if you want a single piece of equipment that covers dough preparation for pasta, bread and pizza rather than separate tools for each. The footprint is compact for what it does at 310 x 155mm.

How-To Video

What doughs can the Pasta Fresca handle besides pasta?

The machine handles bread dough, pizza dough, doughnut dough, shortcrust pastry and sweet biscuit doughs. The mixer blade movement suits both savoury and enriched sweet doughs, and the machine can re-knead proved dough for bread and pizza.

Are additional attachments available for the Pasta Fresca?

The Pasta Fresca uses its own range of attachments, which are not interchangeable with Atlas or Atlas+ cutting attachments. We do not currently stock these separately, but if you are looking for a specific shape, get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Are the Pasta Fresca attachments the same as Atlas attachments?

No. The Pasta Fresca uses its own range of compatible attachments, which are not interchangeable with Atlas or Atlas+ cutting attachments. The three included attachments (lasagne, fettuccine, tagliolini) fit only the Pasta Fresca, and additional Pasta Fresca attachments are sold separately.

What doughs can the Pasta Fresca handle besides pasta?

The machine handles bread dough, pizza dough, shortcrust pastry and sweet biscuit doughs. The mixer blade movement is suited to both savoury and sweet doughs, and the machine can re-knead dough after proving for bread and pizza.

How do you clean the Pasta Fresca?

Disassemble the machine after use and leave any pasta residue to dry fully before cleaning. Once dry, use a toothpick or small brush to clear the rollers and dies. Do not use metal objects, water, or the dishwasher.

What is the maximum flour capacity?

The Pasta Fresca handles up to 500g of flour per kneading cycle, producing enough dough for a substantial pasta portion in three minutes. A measuring tool for flour is included in the box.
