An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Genus Dei 30 x 40 cm dough box lid is designed to fit the Genus Dei 30 x 40cm pizza dough box. Place it on top of your stack to keep the uppermost box covered during proofing and cold storage. One lid is all you need — the boxes themselves stack snugly without lids between them. Made in Italy from food-grade, BPA-free polyethylene.

What the Lid Does

The lid sits on top of your stack and covers the uppermost box, maintaining humidity around the dough during proofing and protecting it from drying out or absorbing fridge odours during storage. The boxes themselves stack snugly on top of each other — the lid is only needed at the top.

How does the lid work with stacked boxes?
The boxes stack snugly on top of each other without needing a lid between them. The lid sits on top of the uppermost box in the stack to keep the dough covered. One lid is all you need per stack.

How many lids do I need if I have multiple boxes?
Just one. The boxes stack snugly without lids between them — you only need a lid for the top of the stack.
Will the boxes still stack on top of a lid?
Yes, if you would like to use a lid for every box, then another box will stack on top of the lid.
How do I clean the lid?
Wipe clean with warm soapy water. The polyethylene surface doesn't absorb odours or residue from dough.
Is the lid BPA-free?
Yes. It's made from the same certified food-grade, BPA-free polyethylene as the Genus Dei dough boxes.

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

  • Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and resaleable (see below regarding use and diminished value)
  • Returns must include your full name and order number

Diminished Value and Use of Goods

  • Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, handling beyond what is necessary to inspect an item may result in a deduction from your refund
  • This includes use of food preparation equipment with ingredients such as flour, dough, or egg
  • Items used in this way cannot be resold as new and may be subject to a reduced refund
  • Any deduction will be based on the condition of the item following inspection

Food/perishables, gift cards, free gifts/promotional items, and hazardous/flammable goods.

Return window after approval

Please dispatch your return within 14 days of approval. Late returns may be refused, partially refunded, or returned at your expense.

Costs & Refunds

  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless incorrect, damaged or faulty.
  • Change-of-mind returns: you cover return shipping; a £5.95 return shipping charge may be deducted from the refund unless advised otherwise
  • Refunds are processed after inspection; allow up to 10 working days to appear
