The Starter Kit is the easiest way to begin making proper pizza at home. It includes the ZiiPa Piana wood pellet oven, fuel, peel, cover, flour, semola and tomatoes, so you have the essentials ready from day one. The oven’s rotating stone helps pizzas cook evenly, making it easier to get great results from your first cook.

Why the Starter Kit

The Starter Kit is for buying your first pizza oven and cooking the same day, without working out what else you need. It's the entry set, so everything here earns its place and nothing is filler.

The Piana is the oven, with a stone that turns by an external dial so pizzas cook evenly without you turning each one by hand. The beech pellets are the fuel ZiiPa recommend, lighting fast and burning clean, and the scoop is the safe way to load them. The perforated peel launches and lifts the pizza, its holes letting loose flour drop away rather than catching on the stone. The bag stores and carries the oven between uses.

The ingredients are the staples a pizzeria uses: the '00' flour makes the dough, then the semola (semolina) dusts your peel and surface so the dough slides off cleanly, and the San Marzano tomatoes make the sauce. There's enough for around six 12-inch pizzas to get you started. What's deliberately left out is the hosting gear: the dough boxes, topping station and cutter that help when you're feeding a group are in the Pizza Night Kit, and the serving trolley is in the Ultimate.

Is the oven in this kit the same as the stand-alone ZiiPa Piana?

Yes. It's the full Piana pizza oven, the same one sold on its own, bundled here with the fuel, tools and ingredients to start cooking.

Can I buy these items separately instead of as a kit?

You can, but the kit saves over £35 than buying the oven, pellets, peel, bag and ingredients individually.

Is a pizza cutter or topping station included?

No. The Starter Kit keeps to the essentials, with the peel for handling the pizza. The cutting wheel, topping station and dough boxes are in the Pizza Night Kit.

Which parts come in my chosen colour?

The oven, the storage bag and the pellet scoop come in the colour you pick: charcoal, eucalyptus or chalk. The peel, pellets and ingredients aren't colour-specific.

What fuel and ingredients are included?

5kg of beech pellets, plus 1kg of Neapolitan '00' flour, 1kg of semola (semolina) and a 400g tin of San Marzano tomatoes, enough for around six pizzas.
