About Us

An independent UK specialist for Italian-made pasta and pizza tools, kitchen equipment and more.

Pasta Kitchen launched in 2016 with a straightforward aim: stock the tools that actually make a difference when you're cooking Italian food at home. We're a family-run business, and Italian cooking tools are genuinely what we know. We've been selling Marcato pasta machines and Eppicotispai tools the entire time, and every product we add to the range gets used and tested by our team at home before it goes on the site.

The range has grown a lot since then, but the approach hasn't. We choose products we believe in, from brands that have been making them properly for decades. Almost everything we sell is made in Italy. Marcato pasta machines are manufactured in Campodarsego, near Padova. Berkel slicers and knives are made in Italy, in the province of Varese. Cerutti Inox and Eppicotispai are Italian-made brands we've carried for years.

We're an authorised UK retailer for the brands we carry. Everything is supplied with UK-compatible plugs where applicable, VAT is included in the price, and there are no import duties or customs surprises on delivery.* You may be able to find some of these products cheaper from overseas sellers, but what you won't get is UK warranty support, correct specifications for the UK market, or anyone to call if something goes wrong.

The Berkel Red Line 300 is the largest slicer in the Red Line domestic range, combining near-professional slicing capacity with Berkel's Italian design. Built using many of the same engineering principles found in Berkel commercial machines, it features a 300mm chromed steel blade, a 0.31 kW motor and an integrated blade sharpening system. Designed in Italy.

Largest Capacity in the Berkel Domestic Range

The 300mm blade diameter allows the Red Line 300 to handle larger products than any other model in the Berkel domestic range. The extended carriage provides greater stability when slicing bigger cuts of meat, making it well suited to prosciutto, large deli meats and charcuterie boards.

  • 300mm chromed steel blade, the largest in the Berkel domestic range
  • Extended carriage for bigger products
  • Circular cutting capacity: 230mm
  • Rectangular cutting capacity: 245 x 230mm

Motor Performance

The 0.31 kW motor maintains consistent blade speed during use, handling tougher products and larger volumes while producing precise, clean results. The chromed steel blade with professional profile reduces product waste, and the inclined food plate allows ingredients to move naturally toward the blade.

Integrated Blade Sharpener

The built-in sharpening system allows the blade to be maintained directly on the machine, without separate tools. Regular sharpening preserves slicing performance and extends blade life.

Design and Construction

The single-mould aluminium alloy body reduces gaps where food debris can accumulate, simplifying cleaning and maintaining hygienic operation. The curved profile references Berkel's historic slicing machines.

  • Single-mould aluminium alloy construction
  • Removable blade cover for cleaning access
  • Removable food carriage
  • Wide clearance areas to reduce food build-up

Using the Red Line 300 for Cheese

The standard blade is designed primarily for meats, charcuterie and similar products. For regular cheese use, Berkel recommends the optional Teflon-coated blade, which prevents product build-up and improves performance. Contact us if you need the Teflon blade option.

Why Choose the Red Line 300

The Red Line 300 is the right choice if you need the highest slicing capacity available in a domestic Berkel machine. Compared with the Home Line Plus models and the Red Line 250, it offers a larger blade, a more powerful motor, greater carriage space and near-commercial slicing capability. It is particularly suited to hospitality kitchens, serious home cooks preparing charcuterie regularly, and cafés or delicatessens that need reliable results from a kitchen-sized machine.
